Ok, you've got the Windows 7 Taskbar setup just the way you like it. The Quick Launch bar is back just and you're all set to get on with the important stuff like DX 10 and 11 games! But wait, you reboot the PC and now your Quick Launch and other toolbars have disappeared.

This quick registry hack forces Windows 7 to remember the Toolbars you've added and fixes the bug where the Toolbars are removed after a reboot or shutdown.

  1. From the Start Menu select Run and enter Regedit and hit Ok.

  2. Navigate to the following loaction:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

  3. Right Click and Select New > DWORD VALUE.

  4. Enter the name NoSaveSettings. Make Sure the value is 0.

Windows 7 will no longer remove your taskbars.
