The Hack
Ok, this trick is easy and should have you running the free to play Runescape, fullscreen with no banner advert in 5 minutes.

To do this you need the Firefox browser. So head over to http://www.mozilla.com/ (or Google "firefox") to download and install the latest version.
- Once you're up and running with Firefox you need to install an add-on. In this case it's the Nuke Anything Enhanced add-on. Follow the link (or sreach the add-on section over at Mozilla) and install the add-on; you may have to restart firefox.

Using Firefox head over to Runescape and the Play Now section as shown below.

Right click somewhere next to, but not on, the banner. The Nuke Anything Enhanced add-on will have added an option Remove this object. Select this and watch the banner disappear!

Now we got rid of the annoying Runescape banner advert, we just need to set Firefox to fullscreen mode. Under the View Menu select Full Screen.

Now sit back and enjoy Runescape Free fulscreen and with no annoying banner advert.

If you have problems, or you find that the actual game is windowed while the browser is fullscreen. Then check the Runescape Graphics Options. Make sure your desktop resolution is selected and so is Resizeable.
